The Blessed Moment of NOW

As you listen to the sounds of the silence, you’ll experience a resounding stillness that will reverberate like the distant tinkling of silver bells, filling your heart and soul until you feel you are one with it. This is known as ‘the present moment’ where nothing but the moment of pure bliss of the NOW exists.

During this time and space, no past sorrows or present worries can play havoc with your peace. Everything comes to a standstill and the commotion of the outside world will never interrupt the stillness of your soul. By living in the present moment, life becomes much more bearable. No trouble is too troublesome, and no problem is too baffling to solve.

When you live in the silence of your heart and soul, you are in divine communion with your Source and you are constantly drawing unto you the higher, empowering energies of strength, vitality, and rejuvenation. You will be in a state of well-being and good cheer. And, the radiance you emanate will send any negative energies fleeing for the cover of darkness.

Live in the present moment and this is the only moment you have to live. If you’re having trouble living in the moment of NOW, here are some tips which can potentially help you:

1) Meditation using Specific Imagery

Meditation is a practice in which you work to still the mind and to concentrate only on the present moment. The one I recommend the most is to meditate using a Sacred Symbol, specifically the Yantra. By doing so, it can help you to focus attention, eliminate distractions and intrusive thoughts. This practice has been in use by various cultures for thousands of years, which is proof to me that it is effective and useful. Some cultures consider meditation to be a part of their religion, and it can be a very spiritual activity in general. These days, people usually meditate in an attempt to overcome the stress and anxiety associated with the modern world. It has the power to lead to a tranquil state and overall improved well-being when done regularly.

2) Go Offline

As simple as it sounds, many people still struggle with the idea of setting aside ‘me’ time and putting away their digital devices for a period of time. In a book known as Digital Minimalism, Cal Newport explains that people who designed these devices aren’t your friends and you are not their customers. You are just a product they are selling to advertisers, the apps, and data providers. Let that sink in. Instead, what you can do is to reach out for a physical book, a journal, or even your loved ones. Start being productive and live in the present moment. Stop worrying about what others are doing on the online platform.

3) Wake Up Early

Every time you feel reluctant to leave your bed… tell yourself, “What am I placed in the Earth for? Am I going to spend half of my day huddling in my blankets to feel warm and comfortable?”.

When you wake up early, you have already won the day. By doing so, you can give yourself plenty of time to do what you need to do before the world wakes up.

I will end with a quote…

” It’s being here now that’s important. There’s no past and there’s no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can’t relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don’t know if there is one.” —  George Harrison

Stay blessed.
